During The Forge Event, hosted by 144 Operations Group, attendees will receive hands on training provided by our world class, elite US Special Operations Cadre. Attendees will learn basic weapons handling and the engagement of multiple targets using both pistol and rifle, brought by attendees. We believe in the training mantra; Crawl, Walk, Run ... both figuratively and in reality. We will train on engaging targets from a static position, as well moving while engaging. We will train on pistol and rifle malfunction drills, transition drills between pistol and rifle. We will culminate our 2-Day Intensive with two types of stress shoots; Advancing Stress Test and a Withdrawing Stress Test. The culminating stress events will encompass and test all shooters comprehension and basic utilization of the methods and tactics taught during the entire event.

The Forge is comprised of Four Evolutions or Phases. Each Evolution has been created to allow progressive understanding and comprehension of the tasks required to move to the next Evolution. Each successive Evolution will encompass the prior Evolutions tactics and instructions, giving the shooter increased confidence in being able to implement the tactics taught operate under increasingly stressful environments. Learn more about each Evolution below:
During this Evolution, shooters will demonstrate their accuracy and basic weapons handling. All shooters are expected to know and understand their chosen weapons basic functions and operations. The Basic Evolution is to help the Cadre to determine if the shooter is ready and qualified to advance to stage two; Infantry Evolution. Shooters will advance from the Basic Evolution by mid morning of Day 1 of the event. Shooter will be engaging targets from static positions.
Building upon the Basic Evolution, the Infantry Evolution is to further instruct and test the shooter on drawing from the holster, weapon reload procedures, weapons malfunctions, and transition drills from their primary weapon to a secondary weapon. This Evolution will test the shooter on situations which qualify for rapid implementation of a malfunctions drill or to transition from their primary weapon to a secondary weapon. This Evolution will begin mid morning of Day 1 into mid afternoon Day 1. Shooters will be engaging targets from static positions.
During the SOF Evolution all prior drills will be implemented in a dynamic environment where the shooter will advance down range, to eliminate their targets. These drills will focus not only on accuracy while moving but test the shooter in proper firing positions dependent upon the obstacle they move to. Shooters will be expected to engage targets with random malfunction, magazine changes, and transitions, all while advancing down a 100m flat range. This Evolution will begin mid afternoon Day 1 and culminate late morning Day 2. Shooters will be engaging targets from static positions and while moving. Our Cadre will determine if the shooter is qualified to move forward into the final Evolution, the Tier 1 Evolution.
During this Evolution shooters will be expected to address any and all issues with their weapon platforms, manage magazine reloads, malfunction drills, engaging targets from a static and while moving, and over a long distance, while navigating obstacles and dealing with Cadre induced stress, all to simulate a high-stress environment. This Evolution will require physical endurance and mental fortitude. This Evolution will last all afternoon of Day 2 until event conclusion.
